Meet Ian Oak, a junior at NVOT High School and a wingback who plays with one thing in mind—his family in the stands.

For Ian, motivation comes from seeing his parents watch every game, knowing how much time, effort, and sacrifice they’ve put in so he can play the sport he loves. That support pushes him to give his all every time he steps on the field.

His love for soccer started back in kindergarten, playing mini games behind his school with friends. What began as fun quickly turned into competitiveness—and a passion that’s stayed with him ever since.

Like many student-athletes, Ian’s biggest challenge has been balancing long practices, late match days, and academic pressure. But through the packed schedule, he’s proud of being able to succeed both on the field and in the classroom.
