For student-athletes, self-harm doesn't always look the way people imagine.Sometimes it looks like training through injuries, skipping meals, ignoring pain, or pushing yourself past your limits because you believe that's what success requires.
In sports culture, these behaviors are often normalized. They are framed as discipline, toughness, or dedication. But sometimes they are signs that an athlete is hurting more than people realize.

Your body is not something to punish.
Your value is not defined by performance.
And taking care of yourself is not weakness.
At From Your Teammate, we believe athletes deserve support not only in competition, but in the moments when things feel overwhelming.
If you're struggling, please know you are not alone. There are people who want to listen, support you, and help you navigate it.
Taking care of your mental health is part of being a strong athlete.
From your teammate.
